The term "Trailer Hitch" describes such a wide range of towing parts and accessories that it is almost useless. But whether you're describing a 2" Ball Mount or a Fifth Wheel or anything in between, Trailer Tech has what you need.
The receiver refers to a square tube mounted to the bottom back of your tow vehicle. They come in 1 3/4", 2", 2 1/2" and 3", gaining increased tow capacity as the size increases. Most receivers are vehicle specific and it's our job make sure you get the right one for your tow vehicle.
With a receiver in place, it needs to receive something. At Trailer Tech we stock a wide variety of towing options.
The classic option is a ball mount. If you know the height difference between your Vehicle Receiver and Trailer Coupler a static ball mount will connect them. For towers unsure of the specific dimensions, or with a variety of trucks or trailers to swap between we offer adjustable ball mounts that can make connecting most trucks to most trailers a breeze.
Another option for bumper pull is a pintle setup, made of a locking "Hook" that attaches to a Lunette Eye or "Donut" at the front of the Trailer. We carry straight shanked Pintle options for basic applications, or bolt-on applications for when variable height is needed.
And why not the best of both worlds? Our variety of multi-purpose Pintle and Ball setups mean you can always have the right connection for the job at hand.
When a bumper pull or Receiver Hitch just isn't enough, we offer stronger connections in the form of Fifth Wheels and Gooseneck hitches.
A fifth wheel is a large mechanism set down in the bed of the truck and usually anchored to a permanent set of rails or an under bed "puck" system at four corner points. The fifth wheel hitch has a set of jaws designed to securely fasten to a King Pin at the front of the trailer. For tow vehicles with shorter beds, a Slider option allows your Fifth wheel to slide away from the cab for greater turning radius when maneuvering in tight spaces.
A Gooseneck system is made up of a Ball in the bed of the tow vehicle anchored under the bed and a long neck on the front of the trailer reaching down to couple with the ball. One major advantage of Goosenecks is that it is much easier to access the bed of the truck since the truck side portion is just a ball that can be easily removed or even stored upside down in its own slot.
Do you find yourself with a gooseneck ball in the bed of your truck and a king pin on the trailer? What about the other way around? Trailer Tech has you covered. We stock a variety of adapters so that you'll always have a solution ready to go.
We love getting hands on to know for sure you're getting what you need, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. Bringing in sample parts, even broken ones, is the best way to ensure a positive ID on what you need to get rolling.
