Every Detail Matters
When buying new tires or wheels every bit of information counts. You wouldn't want to find out in the middle of nowhere that your spare doesn't quite fit.
Most tires have a large identification code placed on the side wall. This code can be an absolute lifesaver when replacing your tires so make sure that if you can't bring the old tire in you take down the whole code, letters and numbers included.
Wheels too can be surprisingly specific in how they fit. Aside from knowing your wheel/tire size many trailer wheels can have unusual bolt spacing for the lug nuts and studs or a specific pilot diameter sized to a particular hub. Having an old wheel present when purchasing a new replacement is always the best way to be sure.
